How PrimeWall Interior Solutions Works on Fort Lauderdale Walls

PrimeWall Interior Solutions hangs wallcoverings in homes across Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding Broward communities. Our view is simple: paper only looks as good as the surface under it and the patience of the person hanging it. So most of what we talk about with homeowners happens before a single roll is opened, from checking what the wall is made of to deciding where the first strip should land so the pattern reads straight from the doorway.

Starting with the wall, not the roll

A lot of local houses are concrete block with plaster or drywall furring on the inside, and many condos have walls that were skim-coated more than once by previous owners. Each of those surfaces takes adhesive differently. We look for hairline cracks, old nail pops, glossy paint that paper will not grip, and any spot that feels cool or soft, which can point to moisture coming through an exterior wall.

When something needs fixing, we say so plainly and explain why. Hanging a beautiful grasscloth over a damp or flaking wall just means watching it lift a few months later, and nobody wants that conversation.

  • Surface check for cracks, gloss, residue and loose paint
  • Moisture awareness on exterior and bathroom walls
  • A clear note on what prep the room actually needs

Working around South Florida weather

Our climate shapes how we schedule and how we hang. From May through October the air is heavy and afternoon storms roll in almost daily, and hurricane season stretches from June 1 to November 30. Paper and paste both react to humidity, so we prefer the house to be closed up with the air conditioning running steadily for a while before we start, and kept that way while everything dries.

That same AC cycle matters after we leave. We talk through which papers tolerate a steamy guest bath, which ones belong only in dry rooms, and why a home near the water may want a more washable, scrubbable finish against salt air and frequent cleaning.

Respecting the home while we are in it

We cover floors, move what needs moving with your permission, and keep tools and trimmings contained to the room we are working in. Outlet covers and switch plates come off and go back on. At the end of each day the space is left tidy, and we walk you through what was done and what comes next.

Questions are welcome at any stage. If you are unsure about a pattern scale, where a mural should be centered, or whether to paper the ceiling too, we would rather talk it through than guess.

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Honest prep advice

If a wall needs skim coating, crack repair or a moisture check first, we tell you before the job starts, not halfway through it.

  2. Pattern planned on purpose

We decide where the first strip lands so the motif centers on a focal point and the least visible seam ends up in a corner.

  3. Climate-aware materials

We help you pick papers and adhesives suited to humid bathrooms, salty coastal air and rooms where the AC cycles all day.

Tell us about the room you want to change

Send a few photos and the rough size of the walls, and we will talk through prep, paper options and timing for your home.
